About £300-£400, but they are amazing engines, get them from cav gsi's, later cav sri's, astra gsi's,calibra 16v.
But you will probably need the engine bay welding etc.
Your best bet is to swap it for something like a 1.6 16v, as thats a much easier swap, diy swap. Especially as you seem a newbie(no offence if you aren't a newbie)
You and a mate or two could do the 1.6 engine, whereas the XE is much more difficult.
You won't need to do any welding to fit a C20XE. The engine/box will go straight in, the hardest part is the wiring and that's easy enough aswell. You'll need to get struts with the larger bearings and hubs in them from a big block engined (1.8 or bigger) Astra/Cav/Calibra in order for you to fit the larger driveshafts - use Astra top mounts if you don't get the struts off another Astra. Use an Astra GSi exhaust system and fit the larger radiator
