any 1 know how difficult it is to turn a 1.6 gte/gsi engine into a carb
yeah fairly difficult, youd have to fit a big throttle butterfly, maybe block off a few of the cylinder bores. work in a venturi somewhere and all the related fuel resevoirs, vacuums, emulsion tubes, jets.
its allot of work, youd be better off just buying a carb, rather than making one from an engine. it would never fit in the engine bay either.
i meant if i buy a 1.6i engine, would it be hard to change the injection side of it for a carb, because thats about all the still works on my current 1.4 sr engine. finding it easier to get a 1.6 engine. sorry bout the way i put the 1st thread across,
