for a little while now, whenever i floor my 1.4 astra, it is just soo stuttery, as in it will pull great and then not and then it will start pulling again. the difference between pulling and not pulling is only small but to me its noticeable and i dunno if its supposed to do it or not. at only 2/3 - 3/4 acceleration it is fine.
does anyone know if this is normal?, or could something be out like the timing or something?
How do you know if your CAT is knackered, and how much is a new fuel filter, is it an easy DIY job.
Also should all SPIs have the exhaust manifold cover on, mine hasn't and doesn't have the pipe going to the air filter, but i have an open hole on the air filter.
i shouldnt think it needs one, just make sure that theres not loads of sh1te going into the hole on the air box
fuel filter on mine looks pretty manky, havent a clue about the cat, is there a way of telling without getting it on an emissions machine or something? barineg in mind its passed an mot not more than a couple of months ago?
ive seen 1.4spi eng having a problem simaler to yours when you floor it it misses ive found the ign module to be faulty.its fixed under the coil about £50 from local motor factors or give the local breaker a try
