hay can any1 help i have a 2.0 16v red top and want to know how every 1 sprays them up because my friends say if there just sprayed the heat from the engine will make it peel off is there any 1 who has had there XE cover sprayed that can tell me how about doin it?
Nope, but only silly things like, propshaft too close to exhaust, didn't like the twist on one of the front braided brake hoses, and an oil leak.
Currently turbo/manifold are off to hunt the leak down. Which I think is the little grub screw above/between cyl 2 and 3. Replacing all the oil/water hoses to/from turbo at the same time and going to paint it all too.
your a busy man then?mot could have been alot worse i guess but then but still it all costs money,i need to give mine a serious degrease all over its terrible, jus from all the previous problems with the turbo oil feed leak+4x4\ps resivour allmost exsloding when i got the 4x4 working as it was overfilled and i didnt know til it was working!
jus looked at that thread, not just a case of throwing the cam in by the looks of it,sadly! as im not very good on the tech stuff jus the mech stuff!
Got a shock when I was down the scrappy today, found a spare cover for my X20XEV (well a dohc anyway) and its plastic! So I'm pondering over chrome plating or powder coating now...I mean plastic, grumble, when I was a kid it was all metal...
