(disclaimer-you are dealing with a novice here so be gentle with me!)
A mate of mine has a cavalier SRI with an LET conversion. Problem is that engine died (not sure what happened) and he is rebuilding the engine. The bottom end was fooked and he's been looking for a replacement for ages to no avail. Someone suggested using an XE bottom end but he's concerned that the extra pressure will melt the pistons.
Any gen? He's put a deposit on an XE at his local scrappy's but needs to know if he is wasting his time and is better off just putting the XE in and forgetting the tub.
