A mate phoned me last night saying that his 4X4 isnt working and there is a light on his dash.
I told him there may be a problem with his transfer box and that maybe the oil pressure increased to much causing the seals to brake. Are there any other possible solutions for me to check? And is there a way for me to see if the transfer box is the problem?
yeah loads,1st thing to do is make sure fuse 19 is okay,2nd do the accumulator woosh test,to do this put ignition on with bonnet up and drivers door open+pump break pedal and you should hear a squirting noise from the accumulator, this will stop after around 25 presses.
if you dont get any sqirting the accumulator setup is at fault, then reading the fault codes may be a good idea, easy to do yourself if the cars a 93 or b4
