had to get recovered by the AA from manchester last night as when i had returned to my car it refused to start.
after having a look tonight i discovered it had no fuel pressure at all.
i checked the voltage supplying the fuel pump from the relay and when cranking it had just under 10 volts so i'm guessing that the problem must be the pump or wiring leading to it
im just wondering if i should also have power going to the pump with the ignition switched on(engine not cranking)
fuel relay seems to be a really comon vaux fault, had to replace mine jus recently as the eng light wasnt allways coming on with ign and when it didnt the car wouldnt start.cause?fuel relay.get a new one
yes the ecu light allways comes on.i'll have a look under the car tommorrow night and test the pump/wiring when i've collected a decent jack from my garage(garage is about 3.5 miles from my house and i never thought of getting the aa to drop of the car there)
