£22/hr is very good, be happy. Well...as happy as you can be.
Yeah I know mate.
Once its done I know its gonna last. Unless I don't tighten the pick pipe properly again
Gonna cost £500, luckily i've got it and the job will be a good 'un.
So I know the bottom end will be sound.
just got to f*** the top end up nowlmao
Why dont ya stick some ARP race big end bolts in there while ya at it.Might save some time in the future
I asked Animal about that and he said wasn't really worth it unless I was gonna stick throttle bodies on.
i'm really toying with the idea of fitting a turbo
How much are they?? Rod bolts that is
Somewhere around £60 mark i think
What happened with the pick up pipe then? Did you not do it up tightly enough, or was there a seal missing?
Heres the stroy.
My cousin was helping me do the job.
He was holding the baffle upto the engine whilst I screwed up the pick up pipe.
However he was moaning about his arms hurting so I had to hurry.
I forgot to apply the thread lock which was still in the glove box.
I didn't tighten the bolts to tight for fear of snapping one.
So basically I rushed and now i'm gonna pay for it
You live and learn.
At least when its back it'll stronger than before
