Please, help me! There is a oil in the coolant tank!
Please, help me. I have Vauxhall /Opel Vectra/ 2000i 16v. And something wrong with it. There is a oil mixed with coolant in the coolant tank /it is like a brown/cream sort of coloured thick sludgey liquid/. But there is no coolant in the engine head/block.That is strange for me. I know that if the coolant and the oil are mixed in the both places / in the coolant tank and in the head/block/ the problem is in the head gasket / it is torn or broken/ or in the engine head /it is may be cracked somewhere/. But they are mixed ONLY in the coolant tank. The oil in the engine is absolutely clear and I also did a engine compression test. It is everyting OK - the compression is very good. I don`t know where to seek the damage…
Please, if anyone can help me with advice, Mail me! firstname.lastname@example.org
I'd guess the head gasket, the oil may be able to get out, but no coolant in due to differing pressures etc. I'd STOP driving it until you find the problem, check out the other post with the field HELP car explosion on way home from work, it sounds similar.
