the problem is my 4x4 light keeps coming on.....i start the car, then about a minute of it idling the light comes on. i have a brand new accumulator block, ball, brass block, solenoid and pressure switch on there, the wires seem fine. i have checked them all. flashed the codes and it comes up with code 32. when i take the fuse out and turn the ignition on and pump the pedal you hear it woosh sometimes but not all the time, it might woosh for the first 5 pumps, stop then start wooshing again.
yeah richie i have checked all them wires and they are ok. someone from ultra box told me to wire it a different way. he said to disconnect the the 2 wires on the bulkhead, disconnect the one from the solenoid. pull out that bit of loom, then then should be a plug left which you connect straight to the solenoid. i've tried that and it's still the same. he told me it can't be the temperature sensor then.
the thing that i don't understand is....why does'nt it always woosh when i pump the brake pedal. if you pump it quite a few times..... sometimes it starts to woosh, then it will stop and start again. it can't be the solenoid cos i've changed that. could it be down to the 4x4 ecu or something to do with the brake pedal.....but then again i thought if it was the brake pedal switch the light would'nt come on until i pressed the brakes.
In the first post above, you made a comment about removing the fuse and pressing the brake pedal for 'whooshes'. If you mean fuse 19 then you will not hear 'whooshes' because you have disabled the TXB by removing the earth the solenoid needs to operate.
The 'whooshing' you heard was probably the brake servo discharging.
Try again with the fuse in and after you have run the engine to charge the accumulator. Only the lightest touch of the brake pedal is needed to operate the TXB solenoid. (You can hear the brake pedal switches click as they operate)
If you did not mean fuse 19 which one are you talking about please?
sorry richard i meant with the fuse back in...start it up for about a minute and then the 4x4 light comes on.......then when i switch the ignition on and pump the brake you do hear the solenoid work.....then it will stop and after about another 5 pumps or so you might hear the solenoid start working again
