ive got a big ole in my front bumper that needs fillin with one, but how do i pipe it up??
its in a nova btw.
If you have serious space problems, maybe you should go for a chargecooler. It's air pipes would be far easier to route, as the air/water heat exchanger doesn't have to be on the airflow and it will can be 3-4 times smaller than an equivalent intercooler.
You could always use a *large* oil cooler as the other heat exhanger (up front, to cool down the water) as well as a large water tank. It should work a treat!
r5gtt intercooler i was gona use on my diesel but now no longer need, its quite small and has been modified so that the air flowes through the cooler the whole time (r5gtt's have a flap that only allows air passage through the cooler when on boost) and has been strapped to alow the running of higher boost levels. it measures 13 1/2" high, 8 1/2" wide, and 4 1/2"deep, i have 2 connecting pipes for it too. if its any use e-mail me at email@example.com
all u got to do is fit it b'tween the turbo and the inlet manifold and your off.
