Whats that funny crimp on the fuel pipe in the engine bay?
In the engine bay I'm replacing the ~10cm section of fuel pipe on my 1400 Mk3 Astra. What is that funny crimp thing that is about 2 cm long and joins it to the blue pipe running all the way under the car from the fuel tank?
How do I get it off? Do I need a new one /and tool when I replace the pipe?
Re: Whats that funny crimp on the fuel pipe in the engine bay?
Its not the fuel filter thats a coke tin sized afair under the rear drivers side sill, and the pressure regulator is on the top of the fuel rail, I just had a look and mine has the object you are on about in the rubber section between the inlet manifold and the plastic fuel line to the tank, strange. Would be intrested if anyone knows cant see it on epc and it dosn't have a number stamped on it.
