My Diesel has been eating oil. and lots of it. the performance hasn't dipped but I find that after a full service the car will last only 6000 miles before it is almost bone dry (service gave it litterally a full tank of oil).
Coupled with that, I followed the car home about 3 weeks ago, whenever it was under a bit of load, white or almost clear smoke came out of the exhaust at gear change! pants.
I spoke to Vauxhall over the phone who said that 'this is unusual for a 2001 car with only 80,000 on the clock, but suggested it could be the oil seal on the inlet of the turbo'.
I don't know what to do with it. it needs servicing again, but should I get a new turbo aswell? will the turbo just pack up shortly?
