Having now deciphered this, I feel I may be able to offer a solution for very little cost.

There are 3 methods of reproducing the 'Tsssshhhh'.

    1. Record a the sound of the DV 'venting' from one fitted to a car with a REAL turbo engine. Put the tape in your tape player, you know the one you crayoned "CD player" on the front of. Drive down the street and play the tape loudly with the windows down.

    2. Buy or steal a 15 litre compressed gas cylinder, fit some hose and a valve that you can open easily whilst driving. Remove any regulators to get maximum 'Tsssshhhh'. Be prepared to have it filled regularly. Also be prepared for frost bite from the liquid gas. Try to avoid flammable or toxic gases for obvious reasons.

    3. As a last resort pay some local kids to cycle behind your car making the 'Tsssshhhhh' just as you dip the clutch to change up (this assumes you have a manual gearbox as an auto may catch the kids out) (This assumes you have a gearbox and not just a 'dummy' one). Don't drive too fast as kids invaribly will wait for you to get 10 yards in front and then nick off with your cash. Suggest you pay them afterwards.

Remember in all cases to wear dark glasses and go out only at night.

    Hope this helps.

    Killjoys?

Hmmm. Clearly you missed my emphasis on a solution for very little cost. If cost is no option then simply purchase a half dozen low orbit satellites, each equipped with hard light transmitters. Use them to build up a solid hologram around the non turbo car and then fit the tsunami. This will complete the full effect.

    James,

I am busy ripping out the turbo in my car so I can have one of these too. Do you think you could get enough people interested so we can get a group buy discount?

    Re: dump valve help

think of the long term money saving here guys.. if you convert your car to be NA then fit one of these, you can benifit from improved fuel economy and you still have the tshhh sound... who cares how fast it goes!?

yeah, im sure we could save on shipping from the states getting a group buy

Alternatively, a steady diet of baked beans leads to similar sound effects.

    Re: dump valve help

fake dump valves are pathetic, 3 fold.

first up it makes it sound like you have a turbo, but the car is no quicker. humiliaiton.

second up when people kick your arse from the lights and hear a dump valve, they will tell all their mates they whooped a nova turbo. humilation

thirdly, atmo dump valves are gay on real turbo cars.
