I've got a busy weekend ahead of me with the car.
hopefully my SBD manifold should be with me by friday, so I thought it would be an ideal time to replace the leaking sump gasket.
I have the 2 part gasket ready.
I've a good idea of what i'm doing but i just need a few things clrifying.
When I take the sump off i'm gonna clean it completely dry with gunk. Is this OK?
The bloke at Vaux said the easiest way of getting the first gasket on is to remove the oil pick up pipe first. Is this right?
I've got black sealant to bond it with where exactly should I put the sealant as I don't want to run the risk off getting any sealant dropping in the sump.
Any other tips or problems I might encounter please let me know
