right, some of you may have seen the talbot i posted in torque, xe on tbs, tried to get it running yesterday, but we had no compression...at allthe engine has been rebuilt before stan bought it, but not run,
upon further investigation, it appeared the inlet valves were being held open by the cam, even on the back of the lobe, so we thought it was the cam, but a stock xe cam resulted in the same scenario
then we noticed that with both cams off the inlet lifters were noticeably higher than the zorst, and swapping lifters side to side made no difference,
soooo, we think either wrong valves, or possibly the seats have been recut too deep,
so what i wanna know is, is it possible to cut the seats 2m too deep? cos thats the hight difference, and also, anyone know an 'installed valve height' measurement for an xe??
