Ok went to get the car setup on the rollers today, didn`t get very far! Ran fine all the way there, absoultley hopeless the second it was starpped down!
Brief Engine Spec so ya got a rough idea of whats happening:
EDS phase 3.5 managment, FMIC, 440cc fuel injectors, High Flow fuel pump, Courntey Hi Torque Cams, Turbo Technics Hybrid Turbo with turbo technics Actuator (Done approx 2000 miles) Descent hose set and exhaust, Dawes Device, Magnecoure leads and iridium plugs, new cap arm etc...
As far as the bloke can tell i now have 3 major problems:
First problem - Spark Problem! The car missfires the second it gets either full throttle or above around 4500rpm, the guy siad from what he could tell with out checking out every connector on the loom, it looks to be the coil itself, kinda makes sense, bout the only thing i haven`t replaced!
Second Problem - Boost problem! The car peaks happily at 1.5bar but then drops rapidly down and holds around 0.7bar, a problem i thought i had soplved when the Turbo was Replaced a week ago!
3rd Problem - No ECU light! Never noticed before but the damn bulb had blown! Replaced it now, so i can hopefully read off some fault codes.
She made 230bhp @ 5100rpm, 238lbs/ft @ 4950rpm when holding 0.7 bar, then the missifre started and the bloke couldn`t work on the boost problem cus it wouldn`t stop missifirng!
Next step is gonna be to see what faults its shoving at me, check every connector down the loom and replace the coil, as advaised by rolling road dude. He also recomended once it`s stopped missing to try fitting a bleed valve temporarily to find out if the boost problem is being caused by something enigne/turbo side or ECU/Dawes Device side.
Gonna get the coil done ASAP n see whats what, any advice reagrding what to do / what is wrong would be appreciated! After fittin the coil, is there anywhere i can just give the car to and say 'fix that'? Finding the time to work on it myself is hard, and i don`t mind paying to get it right!
