the gearbox in my cav has gone bang.doesnt drive well and leaks oil out off the bell housing.ive been told that it will be the diff and you can fit a new one and seal the hole up.how easy are the diffs to fit.im taking the box out saturday.im a mechanic but usually steer clear of these so advice would be nice.ive rebuilt the txb a few times and there easy.
its been converted to 2wd and had the speedo changed to match the digital dash. what part of your casing has a hole? as the side that mates to the transfer box has been modded for the seal and engine mount. so you would need to use yours?
was thinking of something around £300 but not to sure what they are going for these days ?
