Post XE conversion shopping list; mk3 Astra

    I've got these parts already:

XE, ECU & Loom, F20, GTE Rad, Driveshafts (tho may need better ones!),
Hubs front & rear, GTE 16v brake calipers discs & pads,
headbolts, ARP con rod bolts, all gaskets, oil pump o-ring, oil filter, cambelt, waterpump, Idler Pulley & tensioner, new clutch
    Spax shocks & springs ....

So this is the list needed so far... wanna make sure I got everything!

    i. Metal engine mounts, all 3 ...from mk3 Astra/Cav 2 litre, or big block...
ii. Rubber engine mounts (for c20xe, mk3 Astra)
iii. 5 exhaust rubber mounts for Astra GSi (3 backbox, 2 centre section)
iv. Handbrake cable (for rear disc conversion)
    v. Handbrake brackets (any more gen on this?)
vi. Heater matrix hose feed (for GTE??)
vii. Both fuel hoses from bulkhead to engine
    viii. HT leads... BERU
ix Spark Plugs ..single electrode from Vaux
    x. Oil ...Vaux Semi-Synth 10/40w
    xi. Air Filter
    xii. Fuel Filter
    xiii. Suspension bushes:
......Front: 6 poly anti-roll bar bushes, 4 rubber wishbone bushes
......Rear: 2 poly anti-roll bar bushes, 2 poly rear beam bushes

    Anything missing??

both fuel hoses, from bulkhead to engine.

mounts need to be from mk3 astra or mk3 cav.

why do you need better driveshafts? are yours knackered? mk3 cav 2.0 ones are fine

Sid, exhaust gen.. go to local exhaust place and get a big bolt on bracket for the backbox, they use them on bmws and the like.. then clamp it around your gsi backbox and you can hang it on the original astra mount, instead of messing about welding.

did this on mine no probs

Hi Sid, why do you need a new clutch? Did one not come with your box?? Or is it just a good idea to get a new one?

It came with the box ...but I'd just rather get a new one.
Rather replace now while its relatively easy to do!

    Suspension Bushes:

    PowerFlex

    http://www.powerflex.co.uk/products....6&catalog=0436

    SuperFlex:
    http://www.superflex.co.uk/superflex...nge_index.html

Either gonna get Vaux rubber ones, or maybe some poly ones...
rubber if they will last, as softer for a more comfy ride (less bumpy)

    No more nasty Polybushes.

Gary means the oil pump gears, get in touch with phat sr to see if he took the oil pump off, but it'd be a good idea to have a look ourselves.. list seems fine to me sid..

Nylon pressure relief valve as Gary says is probably a good idea, tbh sid i reckon as soon as RDS has picked up my old XE bottom end, we should get the block to mine up on the engine stand and all other bits you have.. upto you

    AUTOVAUX
Rubber engine mounts for C20XE are:
    Right: 15.50
    Left: 11.50
    Rear: 36.79

    New Oil Pump:
105.60 ...same manufacturer as Vaux (and normally is 180, but they just change a gasket and get it cheaper)

VPSCC said it's not worth getting a 2nd hand pump as it could well blow the engine up.

Any aftermarket, uprated pumps you get for the same price??
