I am preparing to turbo my xe, and need to lower the compression ratio. I dont want to change the pistons as they basically brand new (along with rest of bottem end). I phoned courtny who said they use a stainless steel plate (1.5mm thick) and a vauxhall head gasket eitherside.
So thought this would do....... but they want £159 for the plate!!!!!!
I phoned up a laser cutting company who said they could cut a plate the same as the headgasket for £50 (seems reasonable)
So shall i have one made up or is there another way i could do it? Has anyone else turbo'd an xe?
