Should the crank pulley and cambelt idler bolts on an XE 16v be replaced when they have been removed?
They are angle tightened which usually suggests stretch bolts, but Haynes does not say to replace, and they are usually ott on replacing things!!
I hope the answer is no because I have just put it all back together after fixing a leaking front crank seal and I need to race it on Sunday!! (grasstrack car with Vauxhall XE16v)
Also, how the hell do you tighten the feeble crank pulley bolt head up to 250nm then another 40 to 60 deg????? I smashed my first Draper E30 torx socket then bent my Britool 3ft bar to get to 38 deg angle and then gave up at that!! Has Haynes got the 250nm + angle right???
