hi guys, i'm stripping my calibra at the moment, and am a bit stuck with the shafts.
ready to drop the engine apart from the struts and shafts still attached.
i've tried to undo the castelated nut in the hub to get the strut off from the outside of the shafts, but can't budge that.
i then unbolted the strut from the turret, and tried to dislodge the shaft from the diff end (this should just yank out shouldn't it?). still no luck.
haynes says to lever the shaft out of the diff with a square section metal bar, but i have no room to get a lever down there. also, does the cv joint pull out of the diff, or the saft from the cv?
any help or guidance appreciated, i need to get rid of the shell by next monday. this is really holding me up now.
edit to say it's a '90 16v c20xe
