Just done a LET transplant on my Cav GSi and got a few teething problems...
1) Got code 42 (1st gear ident switch voltage high) up, does this mean the switch is knackered or is there likely to be some other cause?
2) It seems to misfire under boost but only at certain rpm (can't tell you what rpm cos I've got to wire up the rev counter still ), any ideas as to what is causing this? There are no other fault codes than 42.
1. This is the boost limiter switch that plugs in the f28 gearbox (limits boost in first gear to preserve it). It either isn't plugged in or your not running an f28 in which case you will need to bypass it.
Cheers Jon. At risk of sounding stupid, which plug on the F28 is the first gear ident switch? I have only plugged in one of the switches on the box at the moment as the wiring for the other one was knackered and need replacing... it's the one at the top that's connected.
Already had new plugs but I'll check the other bits out... are XE plug leads the same? I have a spare set lying about.
