Can anyone help with this,
I have a problem with the ABS light coming on after a couple of minutes. You can hear the abs unit whirring away after startup as it does its checks (according to the manual). But then it always comes on within 2-5 minutes.
Ive read the ABS fault code reading bit on Topbuzz, that i follow. However i cant find the ALDL plug. The car is a Senator 3.0 12v 1990 H reg. Can anyone tell me where it is located?
When testing the ABS system, is there a 'set' pattern of checks that can be made in finding the faults? Ive done a search before posting, and there are a lot of ABS related problems, some that never seem to get fixed, but there doesnt seem to be set method for working through the system to eliminate causes. Itd be handy if we could come up with the definitive ABS fault diagnosis procedure, its like we all know bits of the puzzle, now we need to write it down in order
If you want, put up your own steps in checking an ABS system for faults,
Ive checked the connections at the wheels, they appear healthy....now im stuck,
