i want to get some headwork done on my LET for when i get new software for it in a few weeks, so i need to know whats best to do here...
i have 2 heads fully built up, a late style coscast on my LET currently and also an early coscast from a 'G' plated astra gte. the head which will have the work done has obviously got to be stripped right down anyway. but which one should i strip down, and will i have to change internals from one to the other?? what would people suggest i do???
the early coscasts usually have a much better finish to the inlet tracts - they also have 13mm guides.
however, if you're having work done on it, there's not really much to be gained in using one or the other - I've found though the early ones have a harder casting than the later ones are work a bit easier.
basically though, choose based on condition - or if one has been skimmed.
