ello all any help on this issue would be greatly appreciated.
Right down to buisness.
In feb it started to get really hard to get the car into gear and then grinding like hell when attempted to put it into reverse, and the hotter the car got the harder it was to accomplish this feat!
I ended up taking it to a mac who said the cable was shot (can you say damb@ss)? anyway i replaced the cable only to find that a day later the problem was back but with a vengance, so back down to the mac we went he rekond the the clutch was knackered, so at a cost of £55 + £15 for the cable i got a new clutch ,thrust bairing and pressure plate, these were installed properly and as if it were magic the clutch was non existant so i had to get a traveling mac to come and sort it this cost me an extra £85 squid it seemed to work cool for like 2 days then started to go again so what ive been doing is just adjusting the cable more and more and its been relativly o.k not good but driveable only until the other day when it got so bad i couldnt get it into anygear while startedand the pedal sometimes sticks to the floor all the macs i have spoken to rekon that the clutch is faulty but one who seems to think its got something to do with the actual clutch arm being bent he rekons its a common problem with the mk3 and often over looked....as you can tell im out of pocket and a bit pi55ed about it all and just wanted to know if anyone has had this sort of problem and if so how the hell did you deal with it.....sorry the post is way long but hey i had a lot to say......
