Well, not quite 20, but plenty all the same.
I'm planning a project for a cav turbo chassis i have lying about. It's from a 93K and is in excellent condition. I intend to rebuild the car from scratch with much thought going into weight reduction. I'm at the stage now where I need some questions answering before I can plan any further.
I want to fit an aftermarket instrument panel, but if I do this I will lose the speed signals to the engine and 4X4 ecu's, and the trip computer. I understand that later models had electronic speedo's that derived the signal from the abs sensors. What would be involved in converting to this system so I can do away with the cable driven system?
Would this system still work if I ditched the ABS modulator? I don't like ABS and see this as an oportunity to save a few Kg.
Is the XE engine block the same as the LET block? QED offer an aluminium block designed for the XE that I would like to use.
Is there a rideheight adjustable suspension kit available for the cav that is adjustable at the rear? I've only seen ones that are adjustable at the front.
Finally, what is the plastic canister behing the off-side wing for? I seem to remeber reading it was to do with the fuel system, and that it could be safely revoved?
Thanks in advance for any help!
