I 've read in older Post that the Bosch Motronic M2.7 (c20let) have a air Temp Sensor and Also a Map Sensor. Also the Bosch Motronic Ecu's have and air flow meter.
My C20XE engine (LATE TYPE) with a Bosch Motronic M2.8 Have a different air flow meter from Previous c20xe engines (with Bosch Motronic M2.5), and also have an air temp Sensor. (Like the Bosch Motronic M2.7)
So I assume that my Ecu have and a Map Sensor on the inlet Manifold.
My Questions are the above:
1.Is the new type Air flow Meter a Hot Wire like the old one?
If not, what type is it?
2. If my Ecu have and a Map Sensor, what is the reason of it?
The early c20xe working with Air flow Meter
9hot wire type) and with Throttle Position Sensor.
I know other engines that using only a Map Sensor AND TPS to working.
Why the Bosch Motronic M2.8/M2.7 uses an airflow meter and a Map sensor together?
3. Also I noticed that when I disconecting the plug of my air flow meter the check engine is not going on. The engine have better response, but the idle goes eratic and the fuel consumption is increased very much on idle rpms.
4. How can I recognized if my inlet manifold have a Map Sensor?
