How feasible is it gonna be to fit the rear suspension subframe from a cav/ cally along with the rear diff to a mk2 astra?
I know there'll be a lot of fabrication work involved and it sure aint gonna be an easy task, long term project kinda thing, but need to know how poss some of you think it'll be.
I dont have the space to take another shell from a 4x4 in so that i can chop out floorpan sections etc but the lines im thinking along are just buying the whole rear suspension and drive subframe and components from a write off and bolting them up.
Obviously the wheel well will have to go, and some floor pan strengthening done, but there are a couple of key issues here id like a little advice on before getting started looking for parts etc...
Is the mk2 astra floorpan gonna be of a suitable height and relatively suitable shape to mount the susp frame too? Or are there gonna be serious height and track issues, or real bad alignment probs.
Any advice would be great
Will be with the intention of fitting a prop and transfer in the future to up it to 4x4.
