Yesterday when finalising my transplant we came across the problem that the manifold sits too close to the radiator fan cowling.
Some people don't have this problem as there is apparantly 2 types of cowling and the other type doesn't foul. Others to get round it just hack a chunk out of the shroud.
What we have done, and I'd thought I'd share it with you , is move the rad forward very simply.
In the above picture you are looking at the top rad support for the offside. What we have done is bend the front facing tab up and pulled the rad forward away from the manifold. This has now left a nice gap which should be more than enough and the rad is very secure, but only testing can now prove.
P.S. This has been patented as "Simps Dad's Rad Modification".
