Information is great but conflicting information is a right pain in the *rse.
The more I read older posts on here the more I get confused.
A 1995 N although 1996 model (with 288mm brakes, not 284mm, V-grill etc) Calibra Turbo, can I read the fault codes from the ECU by shorting 2 pins on the diag plug or not?
One person has told me no, as its too new, needs to be a Tech1/2, another thread says all C20LET's use the same 2.7 Motronic ECU therefore yes, then I find this thread from Andy K (4WD light on???) where he says that if its got 2 airbags then you can't.
I'm presuming from Andy's post that if I try I'll end up with a carful of airbag although perhaps I'm reading too much into this.
I've got so many faults with this car I really need to get some fault codes out but don't want to risk activating an airbag!
Can somebody clarify please.
If yes, then is it the same pins are a pre-1996 model?
