Sometimes on my corsa GSI, i have oil thrown up on to the underside of my bonnet. I've been told it might be the oil light switch leaking? Is this a common fault? Anyone else know how this could be happening?
Well it may be this but the switch is located at the back of the engine, underneath the inlet and all the other stuff (which - as a fellow Corsa GSi owner, you'll know how packed full it is at the back). It's unlikely the oil is coming from there really.
Where abouts is the oil - front/back/left/right of the bonnet?
no. i degreased the engine, sump etc so i could see where exactly the oil is coming from.it was a bit grotty b4. i dont see where it could be escaping from but i see small deposits in this area of the engine. think it may be just when i give it some too. i will check everything. car needs a good service neway. cheers
