Is there anyway to adjust the camber on the Nova? I have 16's, and its lowered 35mm. should i need to adjust it?
something doesnt feel right.
cheers

I believe you can redrill the top turret holes or elongate the top hole where the bottom of the suspension leg fits to the hub. Other than that you can buy eccentric top mounts from TAS for arround £120 but 35 mm wont be that bad.
you can buy camber bolts that fit in the top hole of the two lower strut to hub holes. it has a cam that when you turb it sets the camber in or out. with 35mm you shouldnt need it though. check everything is tight and make sure your wheel bearings are ok.
when was your tracking last done? how are your tire pressures?

tyre pressures are fine, just checked them at shell. i have put 14's on at the moment and it feels a bit better, so i think it could be the tracking as its not pulling as much. also my inside of the 16" tyres were worn (thus why using 14's for a couple of days) i will do the tracking tomorrow in college or, friday in work. many thanks for your help.

i have this problem too! i just can't see how to alter the camber.. but bolts through the knuckle at the bottom of the strut would be great step forward..
if someone can let us know where to get them or something similar, would be appreciated greatly..

ive got camber brackets on mine. I havent had them properly aligned as yet but the're a great idea.
will.
13.4 @ 106mph now with some grip!
Where did u get them from m8?Originally Posted by novaboy
you should see the camber at an 80mm drop on 14's lmao the wheels are like that / \ lmao
camber bolts- company called motorsport wheels - 01132188777
did the job for me
what are they like to use, simple?? Are they similar to the ones used in the works novas for rallying as shown in the build manual?? How much approx? Oh and is there any way to alter whilst on the ground or do you jack it up, change the setting, drop and then check?
golf MK1 bolts and modify the top hole for the strut to knuckle.
when i say modify i mean to elongate the hole a touch to allow the movement, otherwise its a lost cause lol
i think i may have found the problem today. my chassis leg that leads to the front panel is cracked and corroded and has parted. just needs plating back up then should be fine. cheers for the help peeps. mite get some camber adjusters anyway.

no you need to get them set up properly as if you adjust the camber wth them you will need to have the tracking reset at the same timeOriginally Posted by alistairolsen

how do these bolts works and do you need to mofidy anything.
how are they different to the std nova lower strut bolts
they have a cam machined ont them so that when you turn them it makes the hub assemble pivot in or out on the standard other bottom bolt. no mods needed.

they are a standard part for MK1 Golfs. try german and sweedish parts etc
