Hehe.. cheers Richie, I don't know what to say. Wayne certainly did a fine job with the 57i. You have to remember that my car is also running Piper fast road cams so you would expect it to be more lumpy than badly made gravy. However, partly thanks to a superchip and that excellent breather mod everything is very very good. The kit itself sounds awesome and due to the removed heat protection under the bonnet it really does roar or more to the point... thwarrrrrrp!
Get one, copy this breather mod (running from directly behind the front grill) and reap the benefits.
Else fit a panel filter and have a smoother responsive drive with the option to later drill your airbox and replicate the induction howl.
Although you may want to experiment with how close the end of the ducting it to the filter, as if it is too close there is the risk of the air flowing too fast over the surface of the filter causing air to be drawn away from it instead of to it. Sounds strange I know, but it is true.
K&N advise the pipe be at least 4 inches away from the filter for that reason.
