Exhaust Down-pipe from waste-gate back
A huge restriction on the KKK turbocharger that was fitted to all C20LET engines as standard is the sharp bend on the down-pipe that comes immediately down from the waste-gate. This immediately creates a degree of backpressure on the turbo as the waste gasses cannot escape free enough. This results in longer spinning up time of the turbo and loses overall BHP. V-Max have developed a large 70mm (2.5”) diameter mandrel bent stainless steel Down-pipe to solve this. This increases flow dramatically. This is only the down pipe and standard systems do need to be modified to suit this. On request we can build full systems for cavalier and calibra turbo’s with a choice of tailpipe. This can be made to order or fitted and made at our premises.
