ok as some might have seen from my signature the headgasket has failed on my LET already, only after about 2 weeks running. it was using water but i had a small leak in the rad so put it down to that, then yesterday when i went to top it up i took the cap off and it was fur-tastic under the cap. the coolant has turned from water to soem sort of a dark coloured sludge
anyway, i checked the oil and in the cam cover and they both seemed to be clean as hell which surprised me. . so i nursed it home and even today the actual engine oil hasnt turned yet. dunno why. anyone any ideas on that?
anyway i am doin the headgasket tonight and am wondering about the torqueing procedure. i know i need to follow the book but someone has said to me that i should have retorqued it after a bit of running. i never knew about this and didnt do it. can someone confirm that i was meant to do this(or not meant to)
