Right from what I understand a standard LET should pump out just under 9psi constant and 12psi overboost.
My LET is standard bar an FMIC
I am getting 6psi constant, overboost tends to vary based on how much the actuator is wound up, but when the actuator is preloaded as I think it should be it will get 11psi overboost, which is about right.
I have fiddled with the actuator many a time, to see if that was causing the low constant boosting to no prevail (the amal valve seems to just adjust for any changes I make)
I have changed the turbocharger AND the actuator with no difference (apart from this turbo doesn't smoke like a chimney at idle)
I have done the footpump test as explained on JohnA's website and the actuator is perfectly fine.
One more note, this is a long shot but the vaccum hoses that run inlet on turbo > amal valve > actuator are not the standard solid plastic ones but are soft rubber Samco ones in blue. Causing problems?
Any ideas on why its doing this??? Amal valve tired?
Any tests I can try to remedy the problem.
