    xe and let dizzy's

is there any difference between them?

i ask this as a mates calibra turbo has been off the road for about a year now and it wont start. we have changed and tried everything except we tried an xe dizzy on it as thats all we could get uor hands on at the time.

if there is a difference it may be the reason it dont work.

many thanks, hope you lot can help

cheers, couldnt see why they would be different.

have tried pretty much everything over 12 months then, dizzy, coil, lambda, crank sensor, different let ecu which runs on my car, in fact basically every electrical component off my let motor has been tried and it just doesnt start. turns over fine. its been a few months since i looked at it, but pretty sure it is getting fuel just not any spark. only thing i can think left to do is try my engine loom on it.

    any other suggestions?

yeah new loom looks like a good idea. although first, make sure you are gettin an ecu light on the dash when the ignition is on. this indicates power to the ecu

thick red - battery, thin black - igntion switched feed, thick red/blue - fuel pump, brown/blue - ecu light. thin green - rev counter.

If its a NOVA I might know. Ive tried/fixed everything.
Nova 280+ bhp and a quaife straight cut gearkit + ATB and water injection and 6 pot calipers that wont fit! Now I have a power steering setup for my nova!

have tried 3 different crak sensors, 2 from xe's and one from my turbo motor. how do you mean a bit longer?????

roger, yeah man it gets an ecu light fine, comes up with crank sensor fault code but they all do that when theyre not actually running. there are no other fault codes being given out. also checked the continuity of the crank sensor wire and its fine as that was previously thought to be the problem
