Yesterday i mount my new Apexi AVC-R to my Cavalier Turbo, i drive with Phase II Lotec chips that normal with amal valve hold 0.9 and overboosting 1.3bar. I have adjustable fuel pressure regulator set to 4.5bar(i thinking to drive with 1.2hold boost), have big Bosch 909 fuel pump, have big intercooler(9 liter), have F6DTC spark plugs and drive with 98 fuel with octane booster.
But every time when i set Apexi over 0.9bar and go to test, i have a BIG problem , car suddenly holding back and i think that this is fuel(boost) cut from ECU. In one VW forum i read that VW turbo owners eliminate boost cut with MAP sensor clamping with zender diode
(see this http://www.thedodgegarage.com/turbo_map.html), like this i clamp my MAP sensor with 4.7V diode but problem is the same, i change diode with 4.3V but there is not result, problem stays
I want to ask you, is there another function in ECU to thinking that the boost is above set in software level ? I think that my be air flow sensor is another safe device and although he is ignored in wide open trotle, he plays funktion to know that airflow is not so much and if this is not true ECU cuting fuel or spark. What do you think for this ???? I want to drive with 1.2bar hold boost and that's it
