Looking for some advice on a head and cam for a gravel rally car.
The bottom end of the engine was rebuilt recently using the 1200 pistons to make it 1400, lightened and balanced, etc. The original head of unknown state of tune had the valves lapped in and put back on. But now the CR is low on one of the pots and it looks like a valve problem.
I am looking into fitting a new head and cam, and not sure whats best.
Do i get a head off the shelf from the likes of Blydenstein. Or do i get my local engineering place to make me a head with a similar spec.
What cam do i need is it a AST2?
Any info or WHY for sale?
