Just started prepping the XE i've got before it goes into my nova, but some previous butcher has rounded every torx bolt on the crank pulley therefore making it impossible to change the cambelt and water pump,
Tried giving the bolts some heat and (unsuccesfully) chiselling away at them but didn't want to go to hot incase it melts the oil seal behind.
If the only option is to undo the main crankshaft bolt in the middle of the pulley, what is the best way to lock the flywheel? (early flat type) as the engine is out of the car and sitting on the floor in my garage.
Makes me when you inherit someones previous carp spanner work
