Well I managed to sell my missus fiesta to my old mechanic in Northampton - he bit my hand off for it when I told him I only wanted £200 for it (taxed and tested) and he saw the invoice for a £1200 for a new engine and suspension lmao
I asked him while I was there how much he'd charge for a cambelt change on the 8v 1.4 SPi Astra and he said £25 if I got the parts in.
Now - is it recommended to change anything else on this while I'm doing it. The waterpump was done 45k ago (along with the cambelt ) and I dont think any tensioner pulleys or idler wheels were done.
Is it a straight belt change or is it belt+pulleys etc ? Any ideas on the cost of these items ?
