Fired up my turbo for the first time in 8 months over the weekend.
Had a good look around underneath etc and noticed my turbo is actually leaking.
It was like it before it was garaged, I just put it down to the oil return pipe not sealing properly on the spigot, but no, it's leaking between the exhaust housing and the centre section about where one of the brackets bolts the two sections together.
Now, this turbo is a Turbotechnics hybrid S144, it's out of it's 12 months warranty period.
Place your bets as to how much I'm gonna get spanked for this which on first impressions whould perhaps need new oil seals.
Personal opinion is that they're gonna say it's cream crackered and you need a new one, bearing in mind it's only done approximately 6000 miles and is always primed if left for any period of time before starting the engine and I use Mobil Motorsport 15w 50 oil which I was in formed by one of their reps was ok to use.
