hi have just bought this engine of a member of here
2.0 16v ecotec, out of a astra sport, fitted with weber 4x45 throttle boddies, lightened and balanced flywheel, courteney high torque cams (all above was purchased from Courteney Sport), silenced de-cat pipe, and a long final f18 gearbox. was rolling roaded at northampton motorsport after the ecu set up, 197bhp@6700rpm and 169ftlb@6500rpm. the engine cost about £3000-£3500 to get to this stage (plus between £1000-£1500 on the ecu calibration and rolling roads), and beleive me even in the heavier astra was doing 0-60 in 6.72seconds, and ran the 1/4 mile in 14.96@96mph..
who would be the best company to sort the head out? i want to get the inletmanifold ports mached to the head too?
what sort of price will this cost?
who makes a 4-2-1 or a 4-1 (what one would be best for this engine)stainless steel manifold for this engine? whats the cost?
would i need to get the exhaust ports mached to the head?
got some new verniers to be fitted how do i set them up compeared to standered ones?
what would be the best plugs and lead to be used on this engine?
what can i do to the block improve it?
what else can i do to the engine?
whats the maximum power i can get out of this engine?
