With the greatest respect £350.00 will not buy you a BTCC spec manifold from anyone we know who has a good reputation in th exhaust manifold business...bearing in mind that BTB normally charges £500 -£600 for an off the shelf item, Tony Law would run to a similar amount...£350 inc VAT buys you a 4-2-1 with tuned length primaries and optimised diameter bores. Also a BTCC spec manifold would be a 4-1 design...not good for a road engine where mid-range and low-down torque are all important.
At the end of the day it's horses for courses but we think this price is competitive for German-made quality component.
I've seen ones here for about £350 so I'm sure its aquality component but a bit out of my price range. The SBD (about 20 miles down the road) manifold was tempting at £175 I think but isn't Stainless so I was just checking that it would develop a hole after a few years but as Animal pointed out the original one I have now hasn't so it should be fine.
If you must have a stainless steel manifold try out Haywood and Scott in Essex. They will custom make you one for around £500. Quality is outstanding, they currently make a system including sports CAT and manifold that will release 25bhp on its own (proven!) on a F$%D Focus 2.0l Zetec. Have got quite an interesting site
A mate of mine got the exhaust system for the Focus and it is amazing, oh and it was £1500!
Personally I would stick with what Animal say's, SBD know their onions when it comes down to Vauxhall's, I will be getting the big mumma manifold and have already got one of his others, there is nothing wrong with it.
