    Have i fooked the head?

On my XE, my cam cover was locked on solid. So gently tapped a flat balanded screwdriver between the gap to release it which worked fine. Till i opened it and saw what i'd done. This is between the cam cover and head. Its only very thin, and im hoping the next gasket will push itself into the gap, or do i need to be a little more worried than that?

I know it goes over the front, dunno about the back. Thats at the front of the engine (thats the exhaust manifold in front).

im just new to this but would say it was fine, and at very worst if it does leak could sort it with chemical metal or something, making sure any doesnt fall/get in to the head.

Should be fine. Could always try a skim of liquid metal and a light sand with some 1400 grit wet n dry.

it'll be fine. the gaskets have a H crosssection so will cover it nicely. most rocker gaskets leak anyway if youve got enuff oil in them lmao

Pheww, thaaaaaaank youuu, had fears of me needing the whol lot smoothed down. I'll rub it down a little bit more so smooth it out and hopefully it'll be fine.

IF it leaks, i can always take it back off and metal fill it/gasket seal it.
