To remove the injectors from the fuel rail on a 20XE is it simply a case of pulling them out? Im swapping fuel rails for a polished on and im not sure if im meant to be keeping the injectors or not.
Also, is it worth me having them cleaned or anything? Engines done just shy of 100,000 and still pulls like a train.
Also a bit retarded, but on this closest side you have a knob that can be turned (between the first two injectors on the rail itself). Whats it do?
Just pull them out mate, its just an O-ring holding them in place (once the clip is off)
It's a good idea to get them ultrasonically cleaned, find a cheap place first. Change all 8 O-rings too, if you can.
Once you pull the "slidey clip thing" (technical term) that holds them onto the rail they will just pull out, carefully.
The "knob" is called something else (really technical) and hides a valve much like a tyre valve that can be used to bleed of pressure.
What the O rings are between the rail and the injectors?
I'll change all the O rings if you suggest it, might as well while its off.
Ultrasonically cleaned? Any ideas on places in Kent (in NW kent), possible prices etc?
Ahh so best not to mess about with it really, leave it done up lol.

Nice one mate, glad its working out ok.
RE the injectors, phone a place in Newington near Rainham called BD engineering.
Nice one cheers
and a top tip, when refitting the injectors, spray the o rigns with carb clean first, as the liquid evaporating draws heat, therefore cooling, and shrinking temporarily, the o ring therefore making it easy to push the injectors back into place
