    Let Fault Codes.

    Ecu light started coming on today. But only under hard throttle and around 5000 rpm the car starts to judder. then clears and keeps on pulling.

    I get the following Codes.

    116: Boost Pressure (Above Upper Limit)

    12 Diagnosis Initiated

    13 Lambda Sensor (Open Circuit)

    I have got a Race X Digital Boost Guage fitted, and it showed 8.5 Psi Overboost and 5.3 Psi Normal boost using the standard electronic boost controller.
    I fitted a manual boost controller and set it to 8.5 Psi and the car Goes Like H*ll and has been working ok for a couple of weeks.

    I can only assume the race x Boost Guage is Faulty. hence the low reading on boost. If it is not faulty then what can the problem be?

    Also what is code 12 all about?

    And why do i have code 13 coming up. bearing in mind my ecu light only comes on under hard throttle.

    ok for a start i love the avatar

    ok code 116 is coming on as you have adjusted the boost pressure above the safe limits of the ecu, hence the ecu is cutting boost and that is likely to be the juddering you can feel.

    code 13, well this can mean either that your lambda probe is knackered or it could be a dodgy wire. so check the wiring to the sensor and if its ok then get a new one.

    The boost pressure is within normal Vauxhall settings, as the std boost controller overboost's to 12 Psi and then drops to 8 Psi

    And it does the same when running on the Std electronic controller too. running 5.3 Psi Boost.

    And why would i only get the Lamba sensor code when i get the Boost problem.

    dunno mate. i suggest fixing the lambad probe problem first and see of it makes nay difference to the other code.

    Yes but what i am saying is why would i not get the fault with the lamba sensor showing up at any other time. i Reset the ece by disconnecting the Batterey and got no fault codes. drove the car on boost without ecu light coming on and checked no fault codes drove it again floored it and once into 4th under hard throttle about 5k ecu light on again and got all 3 codes up agian.

    Ecu light does not come on with hard throttle in 1St 2nd or third. but does in 4th 5th and 6th.
