ive just compleated a turbo conversion on my 16v GTE. i also fitted the F28 gearbox but the problem i am having is the spedo is way out
does anybody have a solution as i cant afford to get any points because the insurance would be unbearable
dunno about the f28, but there should be a plate on the underside of the box that will unbolt
take out the shafts and undo the big toothed nut thing and you can drop the diff out and change the cog
left lots out no doubt cos i havent done it or paid any attention to an f28 myself!! but thats the theory if its any use
ive got a f28 waiting to go in mine but ive been wating til i have time to do the speedo ring. would of been best to do it while the box was out! it can be a little tricky to do, kev cav who logs on here has done a couple, pm him for details.
now that i am a little less drunk, why not just get a set of turbo clocks? i take it you are using a digidash with the 16v sender giving you incorrect readings...changing to a mechanical 160mph dash should fix it no?
