Well after killing the my Cav Turbo engine on Friday night, We decided to strip the engine down and look at the damage before putting my other turbo engine in. We took the head off to find some pretty nasty stuff, All the exhaust valves are bent, unsure on the inlet ones yet as i have'nt taken them out yet.
There are some slight markings on the tops of the pistons where the valves have made contact, Will this be ok?
Took the water pump out as this was the suspected cause, all the fins have snapped off and the pump is seized! Managed to retreive all the bits of the water pump, but we are going to flush the coolant system through just to make sure.
The heads going off today to be rebuilt and will hopefully be back monday or tuesday.
I won't put the pics on the thread as there quite big, I'll put a link to them instead, there's pics of the water pump, the pistons and the head and valves... Could'nt get the piston pics too good..
